Cream Cheese Frosting

Cream cheese frosting is one of my favorite spread on top of the cupcakes, especially the red velvet cake & carrot cake. It has the perfect combination of sweet & sour taste. Lets see this quick cream cheese frosting recipe.


1 cup icing sugar
250gms cream cheese, softened
100gms unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp pure vanilla extract


1. Using the electric hand beater or a stand mixer, beat the butter into creamy texture.
2. Now add cream cheese and beat until mixed well.
3. Add the icing sugar in 3 intervals, mixing in slow speed (this is done to avoid the mess).
4. Add pure vanilla extract and beat the frosting for 3 to 4 mins until high peak is formed.

Smooth, creamy and Yummy cream cheese frosting is ready to be used. You can store the icing in an airtight container & refrigerate for upto 1 week.

Add a teaspoon of lemon zest to get the citrus flavor.
